Join us for a Tour!

The Philip Foster Farm welcomes one and all to partake in our tours led by period dressed interpreters.  If you're looking for a special Field Trip or outing for your group, this is the place!

Pioneer Life Youth Tour

3rd to 8th grades

April 1- October 31

This hands-on tour is a favorite with two full hours of activity. Students participate in pioneer chores, tour an 1883 farmhouse, grind corn in an 1860’s barn, build their own log cabin, pack a wagon for Oregon, cut wood with a crosscut saw, do laundry with a scrub board and wringer, write with a quill pen, and more. Stay after your tour to picnic on the grounds, shop in the country store, spend a little more time on that log cabin, or hold your own group meeting.

"We had such great trips.  The kids think "it was the best trip they've ever had!" Great experience and the parents loved it as well.  We all learn so much as we listen AND participate!  Thanks for all you do."

Pioneer Town

January 15- March 15  / June 15- September 15

It gets a bit chilly at the Farm in the winter, so we’ve designed a bit of history that comes to you.  Our vintge clothed staff and volunteers bring pioneer artifacts creating an event that introduces students or groups to the trades and crafts of the pioneers.  Work with us to customize your event for different ages, time frames, and numbers of participants.  Up to 4 hours of interactive fun.  A great addition to parties or picnics!   Call us for more information..
