Volunteers of all ages staff our tours and events, do gardening, maintenance, blacksmithing, weaving, baking, building, sewing, and music-making. Ask us about all the ways you can make a difference at the Philip Foster Farm, while earning a free membership. See our volunteer slide show here.

A diverse community of students and adults give tours, do building projects, maintain gardens and grounds, provide leadership and expertise, and help with events and publicity. Contact us for more information, age requirements, period clothing suggestions, etc.

To receive more information about volunteer opportunities, complete our online registration form HERE.

Volunteer at Philip Foster FarmTours

Tour guides arrive before a tour, set up stations, host one station during the tour and help clean up the farm afterwards. See the calendar for scheduled tours. See training sheets for tour volunteers here, but you don’t have to be trained before you come.

Opening Day, Mary Charlotte’s Garden Party, Cider Squeeze, Haunted Farm, and Christmas in the Country provide opportunities for farm hosts, reenactors, exhibitors, crafters and others to share their knowledge and skills with our guests.
